Park Nicollet pediatrician Anne Edwards, MD, appointed to national pediatrics committee – Press release

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has announced that Anne Edwards, MD, has been appointed by its Board of Directors to serve as the chairperson of the Committee on State Government Affairs (COSGA), effective July 1, 2012.

Dr. Edwards is the chair of Park Nicollet Health Services’ Pediatrics department and practices at Park Nicollet Clinic—Brookdale. She has been with Park Nicollet for 10 years.

Dr. Edwards is a past president of the Minnesota chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Edwards received her B.A. in Cultural Studies & Comparative Literature, Music Concentration and M.D. from the University of Minnesota.

In 2010, Edwards received the Blanton Bessinger Child Advocacy Award from the American Academy of Pediatrics for her commitment to the health and welfare of children in Minnesota. She was also the recipient of the President's Award from the Minnesota Academy of Family Medicine, which is given to a physician who has made an outstanding contribution to family medicine.
