Methodist Hospital sends out call for hospice volunteers

Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital’s hospice program is looking for volunteers. As a dedicated team member, outpatient hospice volunteers will visit terminally ill patients in their home and provide them with compassionate comfort and quality care.
“Among other things, these volunteers provide the personal touch and respite care for patients and their families. Sharing your time and energy can truly make a difference for those in need,” says Libby Swanson, volunteer coordinator for outpatient hospice services.
Volunteer requirements include four hours per week during weekday business hours. The hospice staff provides training on April 25, May 2, May 9 and May 14. Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer should contact Libby Swanson at 952-993-5381.
