Maple Grove Outpatient Regional Hub

Park Nicollet to build outpatient regional hub in Maple Grove – Press release

Facility to offer primary, specialty, and surgical services under one roof

MINNEAPOLIS – May 1, 2014 Park Nicollet today announced plans to expand its service in the northwest Twin Cities metro with the construction of a new outpatient regional center in Maple Grove. The planned 115,000 square-foot-facility will improve care coordination and experience for patients by bringing a wide variety of primary care, specialty care, and ambulatory surgical services together under one roof.

“Patients want access to primary and specialty care services in one convenient location where care teams are working together to make it easy for them. This model is an opportunity to improve health, experience, and affordability for patients,” said David Abelson, M.D., president of Park Nicollet. “Our new regional center is an investment in a new standard of care in the northwest metro that is coordinated, seamless and supportive.”

The regional center will consist of a newly constructed three story medical building joined to Park Nicollet’s existing clinic located at 15800 95th Avenue N. in Maple Grove. The new building will house specialty clinics, primary care, and outpatient diagnostic services. The existing building will be converted to an ambulatory surgery and endoscopy center, allowing Park Nicollet to offer these services in Maple Grove for the first time.

In addition to ambulatory surgery and endoscopy, the regional center expands Park Nicollet’s primary and specialty care offerings in Maple Grove and includes:

  • Expanded orthopaedics and musculoskeletal clinic
  • Extensive dermatology practice
  • Comprehensive urgent care
  • Advanced imaging
  • Oncology and rheumatology clinic with infusion center

Park Nicollet will break ground on the $48 million project in the summer of 2014. Completion of the new medical building is projected for late 2015, with the ambulatory surgery and endoscopy center slated to open in early 2016.
