Multidisciplinary team evaluations

Evaluations of children by Alexander Center professionals typically are performed with a doctor’s referral.

Evaluation process
1.	Staff and family gather records and outside information.
2.	Our intake coordinator conducts the initial intake interview.
3.	The child is assigned to a multidisciplinary assessment team.
4.	Staff provides a summary at a conference with the family. School professionals and others involved in the child's care are welcome to attend.

Once the evaluation is complete, a balanced, effective and well-organized treatment plan is recommended.

Additional services may include:

• medical treatment and medication management 
• individual and family psychotherapy
• consultation with school professionals
• parent counseling and behavioral management training
• speech and language therapy 
• academic therapy 
• self-regulation skills, including relaxation, imagery and biofeedback
• child and parent groups
