Parent support

Parent groups and parent guidance counseling are offered to parents of children with developmental and behavior disorders. Both types of counseling increase understanding of their child's difficulties, teach parents how to best manage the condition and provide training in changing or minimizing problem behaviors.

Parent groups are offered periodically for parents of children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or pervasive developmental disorders – not otherwise specified. Parent guidance counseling is always available to families of children with a developmental or behavioral disorder.
