Eye allergies (conjunctivitis)
Eye allergies, called allergic conjunctivitis, occur after contact with airborne allergens, such as pollen or pet dander. Seasonal eye allergies, related to pollen or mold, are more common. Perennial eye allergies usually are triggered by dust mites or animal dander and are less common.

Treatment
Avoiding the allergen is the best treatment, but not always possible. Antihistamine pills and nasal sprays can help your symptoms. Your doctor can prescribe antihistamine, anti-inflammatory or steroid eye drops to help with symptoms.
