Evaluation by a licensed psychologist

A licensed psychologist will conduct a complete psychosocial history to assess your understanding of the surgery, motivation, attitudes toward and expectations of surgery, mental health indicators and social support network. This appointment will take about one hour.

After the initial consultation, patients attend a group educational class led by a licensed psychologist.

1. Free group information session
2. Assessment by a bariatric nurse clinician

4. Meeting with a doctor, registered dietitian and physical therapist
5. Meeting with bariatric surgeon
6. Day of surgery
