Community involvement

Rosie Wells painting.

Artwork by Rosie Wells, a supporter of Jane Brattain Breast Center who died of breast cancer in May 2003.

Jane Brattain Breast Center is committed to supporting and participating in events that promote public awareness and finding a cure for breast cancer.

Race for the Cure

Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race for the Cure®, offered every year on Mother’s Day, is the largest series of five-kilometer runs and fitness walks in the world.

The foundation is one of the nation's largest, private funding sources of research dedicated solely to breast cancer. Jane Brattain Breast Center was a gold-level sponsor of the 2004 Twin Cities Race for the Cure.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month events in October

  • Park Nicollet employees wear jeans to work for a day by donating $5 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation on National Denim Day.
  • Breast Cancer Awareness Educational Conference is a daylong event of education, encouragement and empowerment for everyone concerned about breast cancer. The conference provides the latest information on breast cancer prevention, treatment and survivorship issues.
  • Park Nicollet Jane Brattain Breast Center, KS95 and Dunn Bros created the "Catch it Early: Drink Pink" campaign. Throughout October, when you purchase a raspberry white chocolate mocha at participating Dunn Bros in Minnesota, a portion of the proceeds goes to Jane Brattain Breast Center.
