Audience
Nurses, public health workers, social workers and staff working with children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes in a school setting.
Description
School nurses are vital to the team that manages diabetes for the child or teen with diabetes. This program focuses on current management issues for patients with type 1 diabetes, such as psychological and social concerns, nutrition, medications and technologies.
Continuing education credit
Contact hours have been applied for through the Wisconsin Nurses Association Continuing Education Approval Program Committee, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation.
Up to 5 ANCC credits may be awarded.
It is the responsibility of each participant to determine if the program meets the criteria for licensure or recertification for their discipline.
