Audience
Primary care doctors specializing in diabetes, and endocrinologists (not practicing in the United States). Those doctors who are involved in developing diabetes care guidelines and practices for health care systems and public health agencies in their countries may find this program especially useful.
Description
This three-day intensive, specialized program meets the unique needs of international physicians by discussing recent advances in therapies and technologies for managing glucose control in patients with type 2 diabetes. The customized program teaches practicing doctors how to select appropriate candidates, start and adjust treatment, and monitor changes in glycemic control using advanced therapies focusing on incretin-based therapies. Opportunities to interact with patients who have experience with advanced therapies and technologies will be provided. IDC faculty work closely with participants throughout the program and are available during program breaks and meals for in-depth discussions. More..
