Throughout the year, Frauenshuh Cancer Center offers free community events that focus on a variety of topics of interest to patients and families.
-
“Sun Safety” brings cancer center staff to community pools to educate swimmers about the dangers of skin cancer, and distribute free sunglasses and sunscreen. In May, this includes skin cancer screenings.
-
April is “Cancer Awareness” month. Frauenshuh Cancer Center offers educational activities, including national speakers, authors and informational events.
-
Frauenshuh Cancer Center health care providers (doctors, nurses and psychosocial team members) are available to speak at public events. Common topics include cancer prevention, treatment, research and emotional support.
Funds for the center’s quality psychosocial, support and education services are raised through our annual Golf Marathon and Marathons of Hope.
