Nausea

Nausea and vomiting may be a side effect of chemotherapy, and can affect you in three ways.

  • Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting occurs from the time chemotherapy is given until 24 hours to 48 hours after treatment.
  • Delayed nausea and vomiting occurs more than 48 hours after chemotherapy is given.
  • Anticipatory nausea and vomiting happens as a result of just thinking about chemotherapy.
