Spiritual care
![]() |
Chaplains, clergy and lay ministers provide patients and families with spiritual, religious and emotional support, and can coordinate care with a patient’s own spiritual counselor.
Spiritual care focuses on nurturing the patient’s inner resources (beliefs, values, faith, hope and love), outer resources (family, friends and religious community) and spiritual resources. These resources may comfort, guide and sustain patients and families as they cope with the mysteries and complexities of illness and healing.
Our board-certified chaplains specialize in providing emotional and spiritual care to our patients and families. They are trained to recognize and address the unique challenges our patients experience.
You may have questions, fears or a desire to strengthen or renew your spiritual beliefs after you have been diagnosed with cancer. If you would like guidance, ask your doctor or nurse about Park Nicollet chaplain resources.
Call 952-993-6237 or 952-993-0809 to speak to an oncology chaplain.
