Early Stage Dementia and Caregiver
Support Group

This program is designed to benefit people diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease—or a related memory loss disorder—and their caregivers. The first period of each session will be educational. Specific topics will be covered to provide information to people who have memory loss and their caregivers. The second part of each session the group will separate. Those who have memory loss will meet in one group and their family members and/or friends will attend the caregiver group to share their questions and feelings.

These groups provide an educational and supportive environment where questions are answered, ideas for coping are discussed and friendships shared. The groups can help assist people in dealing with emotions, frustrations and changes that accompany the disease.
