Advanced Insulin Management

This group is designed for adults with type 1 diabetes interested in tighter glucose control who want to decrease wide swings in blood glucose levels or insulin pump therapy. Participants need to be using a meal time and background insulin regimen and have an A1c less than 9 percent.

Advanced Insulin Management consists of three group sessions with a registered nurse, registered dietitian, licensed psychologist and medical doctor over three consecutive weeks. The goal of this education program is to help patients improve their diabetes regimens by intensifying their insulin regimen or using pump therapy, and to enhance knowledge, skills, attitudes and beliefs about diabetes management. Call 952-993-3393 for more information.

Cost: The cost of this group is covered by most health insurance plans. Some plans require per-visit co-pays.
