60 minutes, second and fourth Wednesdays of every month
Participants: Individuals considering bariatric surgery or those who have undergone bariatric surgery
Facilitators: A wellness coordinator and a bariatric surgery nurse clinician co-facilitate meetings
Description: Our support groups are designed for those considering surgery or who have undergone bariatric surgery. We encourage the well-being of the whole person - body, mind and spirit. The group is a place of safety and support, where no one is judged, and each person is warmly welcomed. Topics regularly covered during support group meetings include emotional eating, coping strategies, relationships and body awareness. We include time for questions and discussions related to your overall well-being, plus physical and nutritional changes you likely will encounter.
