Hope Heals, 33rd Annual Park Nicollet Foundation Gala
Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013 at Minneapolis Hilton
More than 1,100 guests filled the ballroom at the Minneapolis Hilton on Saturday, Nov. 16 to support affordable, accessible health care and mental health services for children. Great food, music and auction items were paired with an inspirational program to contribute to a memorable evening.
Emcee Ken Barlow of KSTP TV spoke of his personal struggles with mental illness and Park Nicollet employee and mental health advocate, Jayne Hanson shared the story of her family's experience with mental illness and the hopes they have for better mental health services for youth.
The Hope Heals Gala raised $510,000, including $109,000 to launch NOW! - No Obstacles to Well-being, a pilot program with our established partners, St. Louis Park Schools and Cisco, to deliver adolescent mental health services at school using telemedicine. Therapy provided using secure videoconferencing removes transportation barriers, increases available treatment time for clinicians and provides services in a trusted, comfortable environment. The program will begin in January 2014 and focus on youth who are underinsured.
Park Nicollet Foundation is grateful to all the team members, volunteers and community members whose hard work made the gala a great event. View photos from this year's event.
