Park Nicollet Foundation: Giving to Healing Gardens

When patients are immersed in a care and treatment plan, often the little healing touches mean the most. At Park Nicollet, nature plays an important role in healing. By providing natural spaces for recovery, we give patients and families opportunities for restorative physical exercise, creative expression and relaxation in a beautiful and peaceful setting.

There are many ways you can support the Gardens at Park Nicollet:

  • Create a memorial to a loved one with a garden bench, sculpture, brick
  • Give a gift in tribute to a caregiver or loved one who has had an impact on your life
  • Provide support to help feed the many beautiful birds that visit our gardens
  • Give to our horticulture programs to support patient healing and creativity

If you are interested in a memorial bench or other memorial items, please contact the Foundation at 952-993-5023 or foundation@parknicollet.com.

Healing Gardens at Melrose Center

At Melrose Center, the gardening program helps patients recovering from eating disorders through planting herbs and vegetables in plots and tending gardens as a part of their ongoing therapy. Once produce is harvested, it is used in group cooking therapy.

A beautiful perennial garden is also home to a walking labyrinth that provides patients an opportunity to reflect and meditate.

Support recovery and inspiration through the horticulture program at Struthers and Melrose.
