Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital is recognized as an area leader in cancer care, cardiovascular services, maternity care, and neuro-rehabilitation medicine.
The goal of our residency program is to train, mentor, and develop competent pharmacist practitioners able to deliver high quality patient-centered care in a variety of hospital settings, provide leadership to the profession, and be role models for those who follow. Residents will work directly with pharmacist preceptors, patients, and various health care professionals to promote patient safety and improve outcomes through effective, efficient, appropriate, safe, and cost-effective medication use. The program will focus on understanding pharmacodynamic principles as a basis for drug therapy knowledge, the development of communication skills that take into consideration health care literacy, and the ability to interpret, react to and initiate change when appropriate.
The residency period is July 1 - June 30 of each year. We offer two PGY1 positions. Our brochure includes more details about our program.
