Caring for Kids: Birth to 12 Months

Caring for Baby Birth to 12 months

Welcoming a new child into your family is an exciting time filled with joy. Every day you'll encounter new experiences and new emotions. It's important to have a dependable care team on your side that supports your family, your decisions and your child's health.

A supportive relationship between a parent, child and care team is essential to promote health, wellness and development. When selecting a new doctor, it's important to find the perfect match for your family – someone who will listen and answer your many questions and concerns.

Well-child visits – For parents, a well-child visit is time with your clinician to ask questions and bring up concerns about your child's growth and development, behavior and general well-being. At regularly scheduled well-child visits, our care teams get to better know both you and your child. If you have an urgent question or concern, visits can be scheduled at any time.

Schedule visits within the first week of birth, and then at 2 months, 4 months, 6 months and 9 months.
