Giving back to children in our community is a priority at Park Nicollet Foundation. We use philanthropy to enhance the patient and family experience, promote innovation and research, and respond to the health care needs of our community. Some of our most ppular community programs for kids include:
Children First helps build developmental assets so kids in St. Louis Park get the care and support they need to grow up happy, healthy and successful in a thriving community.
Park Nicollet Foundation offers no-charge health care to children infancy through high school at our community clinics in Brooklyn Center, Burnsville, St. Louis Park and Wayzata. No-charge and low-cost dental and mental health care is available by appointment at select clinics. Participating families include those who are unable to afford health care, care new to the area or have sensitive health care needs. All clinics are operated in partnership with local school districts and funded by Park Nicollet Foundation. More than 5,000 kids receive no-charge care annually.
Growing Through Grief offers grief support and education to children who have experienced the death of a loved one. The program provides grief support groups, individual counseling, continuing education for staff and the community, peer helper training and more. There are currrently 12 participating school districts. Learn more.
Park Nicollet Foundation collaborates with its community clinics and area school districts to have all children immunized. Same-day immunizations are provided to kids with no direct charge to families.
Launched in 2013, NOW is a school-based mental health care program for kids at St. Louis Park Middle School. Students struggling with anxiety, depression or other issues can recieve free therapy sessions right at school, using videoconference technology to talk with their therapists.
