Where is the Heart Clinic located?

The Heart Clinic is on the first floor of the Heart and Vascular Center. Park in the Blue Ramp in front of the center. Bring your parking ticket to your appointment to receive a discounted rate. Follow the directional signs and see one of the assistants at the desk in the waiting area to check in for your appointment.

When should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to fill out appropriate paperwork.

Do I need a referral?

You do not normally need a referral to see one of our cardiologists. But your regular doctor may have suggested you see a cardiologist or referred you to see a cardiologist.

Does my insurance cover the visit?

Insurance usually covers your visit. You may have a copyay. To be sure, call your insurance plan.

We accept most major insurance plans, including HealthPartners, Patient Choice, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Medica Choice, Medica Elect, Medica Select Care, Araz and PreferredOne, among others.

What happens at my appointment?

During your initial visit, a nurse will check your weight, blood pressure and heart rate. They will also ask about your medical history and any medications you may be taking. Your doctor will then meet with you and discuss whether any tests or treatments are needed.

How long will the appointment take?

Your first appointment will generally last 30 minutes to an hour.
