Park Nicollet Institute staff is recognized for innovative leadership.

Martin Lee, MD, Oncology Research Program, was awarded the first Park Nicollet Institute Clinical Investigator Award for the proposal Breast Cancer Adjuvant Educational Program: A Randomized Clinical Trial of a Computer-Based Learning Tool to Aid in Decision-Making Concerning Adjuvant Therapy for Early Breast Cancer.

Jinnet Fowles, PhD, Health Research Center, was appointed to the Professionalism Research Advisory Committee of the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation.

Eric Schned, MD, Rheumatology Treatment and Resource Center (RTRC), was appointed to the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Board of Directors.

Ann Deshler, RN, Metro-MN CCOP, received the American Cancer Society-Hennepin County Unit's Rose Marie Cousins Award for outstanding accomplishments in cancer control through advocacy and communication.

Deborah Lasher, RN, MPH, RTRC, served as the National Chapter Chair for the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.

A. Stuart Hanson, MD, received the American Cancer Society Lynn Smith Award for his dedication and perseverance in promoting smoke-free lifestyles. The award commemorated 25 years of the Great American Smokeout and landmark achievements in research, education, policy and activism.
