Educator of the Year

Mary Z. Miley, MD

As a member of the Institute’s medical education committee, Mary Miley, Park Nicollet Internal Medicine, helps to develop the annual plan for conferences and agendas for specific continuing medical education events, working with other experts to determine the topics most likely to improve patient care. In 2005, she served on planning committees for updates on rheumatology, oncology, primary care and infectious disease. Her thorough and thoughtful behind-the-scenes work is critical in helping the Institute bring highly successful and practical programs to health professionals year after year.

Miley not only sees the value of teaching, she is also a life-long continuous learner, striving to improve patient education within her own practice and throughout the organization.
