John Schousboe, MD, Lead Author


“Cost-Effectiveness of Alendronate Therapy for Osteopenic Postmenopausal Women," was authored by John T. Schousboe, MD, MS, John A. Nyman, PhD, Robert L. Kane, MD and Kristine E. Ensrud, MD, MPH and published in Annals of Internal Medicine, May 2005. In this study, authors aimed to estimate the lifetime health benefits and societal costs of alendronate drug treatment to prevent fractures in postmenopausal women with osteopenia.

Schousboe, Park Nicollet Rheumatology, and assistant director of research for Rheumatology Research Center, was the lead author for five papers published in peer-reviewed journals in 2005.
