Elbow

Injuries are the most common cause of elbow pain. The elbow is a hinge-and-pivot joint that allows you to bend, extend and rotate your arm. Your elbow join is made up of bone, cartilage, ligaments and fluid. Muscles and tendons help the elbow joint move. We treat multiple conditions, including:

  • Cubital tunnel syndrome (pinched nerve)
  • Fractures
  • Lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow)
  • Medial epicondylitis (tennis elbow)

Foot and ankle

Our feet and ankles keep our bodies upright and stable while walking and running. Each foot has 26 bones, 33 joints and dozens of tendons, muscles and ligaments. Ill-fitting shoes, aging and being overweight can cause problems. We treat multiple conditions, including:

  • Achilles tendon rupture
  • Arthritis
  • Bunion
  • Fractures
  • Hammer toe
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Sprained ankle
  • Tendonitis
  • Toe, foot and ankle problems, noninjury

Hip

The hip is a ball-and-socket joint with a remarkable range of motion. The join is formed by the pelvic bones (the socket) and the end of the femur bone (the ball). The most frequent cause of hip pain is arthritis. More than 95 percent of hip fractures among adults ages 65 and older are caused by falls. We treat multiple conditions, including:

  • Arthritis
  • Fractures

Knee

The knee is a complex joint with many componenets, making it vulnerable to a variety of injuries. The knee is the largest joint of the body and one of the most easily injured. It contains large ligaments, which help control motion by connecting bones and by bracing the joint against abnormal types of motion. Another important structure, the meniscus, is a wedge of soft cartilage between the femur and tibia that serves to cushion the kneww and helps it absorb shoch during motion. We treat multiple conditions, including:

  • Arthritis
  • Ligament injuries
  • Meniscus injuries

Shoulder

Your shoulders are the most moveable joints in your body. Bones are held in place by muscle, tendons and ligaments. While shoulder problems are most common in people age 60 and older, children and younger adults have issues, too. Manual labor and sports often cause shoulder injuries. We treat multiple conditions, including:

  • AC joint separation
  • Arthritis
  • Dislocation
  • Fractures
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Labral tear
  • Rotator cuff tear
  • Shoulder impingement

Wrist and hand

You use your hands in nearly every aspect of your life. Hands and wrists are formed of numerous structures that play a role in normal functions. Conditions or injuries that change the way these structures work can greatly impact hand function. We treat multiple conditions, including:

  • Arthritis
  • Basilar thumb osteoarthritis
  • Carpal tunnel
  • Dupuytren’s contracture
  • Fractures
  • Ganglion cysts
  • Mallet finger injuries
  • Trigger finger
