About us
Methodist Hospital Eating Disorders Institute is a center of excellence for primary eating disorders prevention, early intervention, education and research. Common eating disorders include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge-eating disorder.
Our team includes medical doctors, psychologists, psychiatrists, registered nurses, social workers, family therapists, dietitians, academic tutors, physical and occupational therapists, care facilitators, outreach staff and business services. We work with psychiatrists from the University of Minnesota and are members of National Eating Disorders Association, Eating Disorders Coalition for Research Policy and Action and Academy of Eating Disorders.

Using a multidisciplinary, team-care approach, we provide a comprehensive continuum of care through these treatment programs:
- outpatient
- intensive outpatient
- partial-day hospital
- inpatient
- binge-eating disorder program
We also conduct extensive research to improve care for eating disorders.
