Rehabilitation services provides customer-focused services to all patients. More than 21,000 patients were cared for in 2005.

Rehabilitation Services uses a patient-centered approach to monitor effectiveness of our patient treatment programs. Feedback from patients, families, doctors and employees is used to improve our programs. Quality patient outcomes are measured to evaluate effectiveness of service, efficiency of service and stakeholder satisfaction.

Our objective is to provide services that meet or exceed the expectations of our patients, the community and other stakeholders. We consider our programs effective if our patients learn to function more independently and improve quality of life as a result of their participation.

Inpatient rehabilitation unit achieved a 29 percent gain for cognitive and motor skills on the Functional Independence Measure (FIM) score. This exceeds the National average gain for patient scores.
