| Memory activities can help patients with their thinking skills. |
Occupational therapy and speech pathology provide a comprehensive cognitive evaluation to test overall brain function and determine areas of strength or weakness. Changes in thinking are commonly seen in patients as a result of stroke, head injury or other neurological impairment. Evaluations can be completed in an inpatient, outpatient or home-care setting.
About our program
Cognitive testing includes the assessment of language skills, vision, visual perception, memory, sequencing, organization, reasoning and problem solving. Behavior relating to cognitive function also is assessed. Recommendations are based on this assessment, and may include occupational therapy, speech therapy and vocational rehabilitation.
