Hand therapy

Hand therapy’s goal is to maximize upper extremity function in our patients. This includes the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand.

Our occupational and physical therapists specialize in treating upper extremity disorders. They are experts in evaluating problems, providing direct patient care and customizing specific education programs.

Common conditions

We provide treatment for a variety of conditions, including the following.

• Tendonitis, tenosynovitis (epicondylitis, deQuervains, trigger finger, rotator cuff and more)
• Nerve compression disorders (carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome)
• Arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma)
• Carpal metacarpal (CMC) joint arthrosis (wear and tear)
• Cumulative trauma

• Shoulder instability, impingement (contact or collision between the upper arm bone and the softer parts of the shoulder)
