| A therapist works with a patient on upper body strengthening using MedX equipment. |
The MedX program targets the neck and low back with specific emphasis on intensive spine strengthening, patient education and improving patients’ quality of life. Services are provided by MedX trained doctors, physical therapists and occupational therapists. Goals of the program are to increase patients’ core stability and trunk strength, as well as enhance their function with activities of daily living, such as work, leisure and household activities.
Patients are seen once or twice a week for eight weeks to 12 weeks, with reevaluation every four weeks. Upon completion of the program, patients receive education and resources for a comprehensive home or gym exercise program to maintain goals achieved in the MedX program.
