We attempt to schedule patients at the earliest possible appointment. First-time office consultations usually require an hour. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early for registration. It usually is not necessary to fast for your first visit. Make an appointment.

At Park Nicollet, physician assistants in rheumatology perform many of the same tasks as rheumatologists, but tend to focus more on patient follow-up visits, joint injections and acute-care visits. Physician assistants can prescribe medications, write referrals to physical therapy or other specialties, perform physical exams, order lab tests and imaging, and perform many procedures.
Yes, in most states, including Minnesota, physician assistants can prescribe medications.
