Research

Rheumatology research focuses on clinical studies to evaluate innovative treatments for arthritis and other rheumatic diseases, quality of life and outcomes research. 

Rheumatology Resource Center’s trained team of board-certified rheumatologists and dedicated clinical research staff conduct original and collaborative research for new medicines and therapies. We participate in multicenter trials to investigate new treatments and medications, and initiate our own studies to determine the best way to deliver those treatments and medications.

Why participate in a research study?

Taking part in a clinical study can result in benefits for yourself and others.

• You may have access to the latest Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved drugs that are not yet on the market.
• Associated medical care is sometimes covered by the study.
• You may contribute to the understanding of disease or its treatment, and improve the lives of future generations.

Current studies

• RACAT Study for Rheumatoid Arthritis: Comparison of active therapies in patients with active disease, despite methotrexate therapy.
• SCRIPT Study for Rheumatoid Arthritis: Investigating an experimental drug for treating rheumatoid arthritis.
• NARAC study (a genetic study for rheumatoid arthritis)
