In 2004, Park Nicollet Health Services enhanced its excellent care, outstanding quality improvement and leadership in patient safety, teaching and research.
Park Nicollet earned national recognition from the American Medical Group Association for its innovative efforts to improve patient care and make health care safer and more reliable for everyone. Methodist Hospital was honored by being named a 100 Top Hospital by Solucient and a top 50 Exceptional U.S. Hospital for its commitment to patient safety. These rankings put Methodist Hospital in elite company near the top of the 5,700 hospitals listed by the American Hospital Association.
While these honors illustrate our commitment to supporting the health, healing and learning of those we serve, they offer only a glimpse of the many care improvements and technological advances that make Park Nicollet a health care leader. You can review details of our most significant improvements and accomplishments of the past year in this report.
In 2005, Park Nicollet will continue its extraordinary growth and improvements in patient care. Park Nicollet Heart and Vascular Center, a state-of-the-art facility, will open on our Methodist Hospital campus. TRIA Orthopaedic Center, a joint venture between Park Nicollet, University of Minnesota Physicians and The Orthopaedic Center, in Bloomington, Minn., will open as well. Our expansion of services in the southwestern suburbs also continues with the completion of a new clinic in Chanhassen.
Park Nicollet staff is proud to provide excellent care and service to people in our community, and we are excited about the new opportunities for growth we see on the horizon.
