• Every year, Park Nicollet honors three people with Community Service awards. The clinical board of governors chooses the three winners from dozens of nominees. The awards celebrate volunteer activities by colleagues. In 2005, the honorees included a Park Nicollet podiatrist who has been a volunteer firefighter for 17 years. Also honored was a woman who’s been entertaining people for nearly 30 years through Methodist Hospital’s service league as a member of the singing group the Methodaires.
• Park Nicollet continues to exceed national benchmark scores for employee satisfaction. When asked if they are proud to work for Park Nicollet, 90.6 percent of employees replied, “yes.”
• In an effort to improve staff recognition for providing great service, Park Nicollet established a way for employees to share stories of “above and beyond” service, examples of which are included in an online employee newsletter. A few are randomly selected and staff is rewarded for continuing to provide personalized care and service to patients.
• Each year, Park Nicollet Institute recognizes outstanding staff contributions through Researcher of the Year and Educator of the Year awards. The awards reflect traditions established by our founders to devote time to research, advance patient care and support ongoing professional education.
