Joy
Joy is our recognition that excellent health care is delivered when people are proud of their work and of their colleagues.

Minnesota Valley Electric Cooperative presented Park Nicollet with its very first Excellence in Youth Employment Services Award. Park Nicollet received this award for its work as an employer of at-risk youth at Park Nicollet Clinic—Shakopee. Students served internships in pursuit of potential health care careers.

Each year, Park Nicollet Institute recognizes outstanding staff contributions through Researcher of the Year, Educator of the Year and Paper of the Year awards. The awards reflect traditions established to devote time to conduct research, advance patient care and support ongoing professional education. This year’s winners include an ethical leader, Habitat for Humanity coordinator and a paper published in the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research.
-
More than 1,250 employees attended New Employee Orientation in 2006, where new employees are introduced to their future co-workers and Park Nicollet culture. Orientation is facilitated by Performance Development Resources instructors, who also offer continuing education, quarterly meetings for managers, leadership tracks courses and work-life balance classes to staff throughout the year.
-
Every year, Park Nicollet honors three people with Community Service awards. Our clinical board of governors chooses the three winners from dozens of nominees. The awards celebrate volunteer activities by colleagues. In 2006, those activities ranged from coordinating health care services for volunteer fire and county sheriff departments, to directing and supervising a volunteer choral group sponsored by Park Nicollet Foundation.
