To prepare for and better aid your understanding of surgery, all bariatric surgery patients are scheduled for appointments with a Park Nicollet licensed psychologist.

At this appointment, we will assess your understanding of the surgery, motivation, attitudes toward and expectations of surgery, mental health indicators and social support network. You also will discuss the results from the two psychological tests taken during your first bariatric nurse clinician visit.
