My Areas of Practice
In addition to providing general clinic-based care in Obstetrics and Gynecology, I enjoy developing new and innovative ways to deliver healthcare to woman that is convenient and respectful to their busy schedules and many responsibilities both at home and at work.  Most groups deliver care when and where it works for the providers and the clinic.  Putting the patient, her needs, and her health at the center of her care by bringing the services to her, coordinating all the services she may need wherever she may need them in an efficient fashion to save her valuable time, and helping her navigate the system so she gets to where she needs to go regardless of what department in which she needs to be seen are opportunities I am currently working on with many others from various disciplines who care for women here at Park Nicollet.  We are fortunate to have so many resources for women:  Obstetrics and Gynecology, both general and specialty such as High Risk Obstetrics, Urogynecology and Gynecologic Oncology, Women's Heart Program, Women's Sports Medicine at TRIA and Orthopedists at Park Nicollet, Jane Brattain Breast Center, and Melrose Institute for eating disorders, providers in mental health and sexual health, bariatrics, headache clinic, nutrition and lifestyle coaching with an interest in women's health as well as a strong primary care department.  By coordinating and consolidating whatever services a woman may need, she is going to get the most value and benefit from her medical care providing her with a superior experience and the potential for the biggest impact on her health and wellness.  I want that not only for my patients but for all the women we see, wherever we see them.

Personal

Dr. Babich grew up in Ely, Minnesota. Prior to coming to Park Nicollet in 2002, she practiced in the Western Suburbs of the Twin Cities for a dozen years and delivered many babies who are now young adults. When Dr. Babich joined the Park Nicollet team, the focus of her practice shifted to concentrate on clinical care with a focus on patient education and coordination of care.  Although she still enjoys seeing patients she has known "forever" as well as meeting those who are looking for care that might better fit what they need based on their personal and professional demands.  Dr. Babich has an interest in the development and implementation of new models of health care delivery for her patients that will meet their need for high quality and coordinated care that is respectful and responsive to their busy lives while providing them with the personal service they expect. As a working mother, she understands that they need health care that fits with their many demands at home and at work.   When not at Park Nicollet, Dr. Babich volunteers at the West Suburban Teen Clinic and is a member of Dachshund Rescue of North America. She has been a participant and board member of EFCE programs in her community and Cancer Kids Fund at Childrens Hospital. Dr. Babich is a widow and has two children. She also enjoys caring for her six parrots and several Dachshunds, including a couple with special needs.
