My Areas of Practice
I am honored to welcome patients to my practice. I enjoy caring for the entire family from early childhood to the elderly.
One of my proudest moments in my professional life occurred when I sat in an exam room with four generations of a family that I had been caring for over the past 15 years: great-grandmother with Alzheimer's dementia, grandmother with breast cancer, daughter with depression, and granddaughter for her well child care.
I also enjoy caring for the immigrant patients in my practice. I am also an immigrant myself. I grew up on the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean, from parents of Indian descent. I immigrated initially to the UK and then here to Minnesota. Minnesota is now my home but I have never forgotten the fears that new immigrants experience as they navigate through unfamiliar territory with their healthcare needs.
I have been the Volunteer Medical Director for School District 196 for the past 10 years.

I chose family practice because it allows me to care for the entire family - mom, dad, children and grandparents. I enjoy working with patients of all ages, from childhood through geriatrics. I love interacting with kids and issues affecting them, their preventive care and safety issues.
I am married and have three children, a daughter and two sons. We enjoy going for long walks, traveling, and experimenting with different cuisines.
