I am honored to welcome patients to my practice. I enjoy caring for the entire family, from early childhood to the elderly.
One of my proudest moments in my professional life occurred when I sat in an exam room with four generations of a family that I had been caring for the past 15 years: great-grandmother with Alzheimer's dementia, grandmother with breast cancer, daughter with depression and granddaughter for her well child care.
I also enjoy caring for the immigrant patients in my practice. I am also an immigrant myself. I grew up on the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean, from parents of Indian descent. I immigrated initially to the UK and then here to Minnesota. Minnesota is now my home, but I have never forgotten the fears that new immigrants experience as they navigate through unfamiliar territory with their health care needs.
I have been the Volunteer Medical Director for School District 196 for the past 10 years.
