"The most important element of my care is making sure patients understand their problem, options for treating it, and the advantages or disadvantages of each alternative. In the same way an attorney or an accountant helps clients understand legal or tax questions, my goal is to provide information that is easily understood so patients can make informed decisions that best meet their needs."

I grew up in Rochester, Minnesota and returned home in 2012 to be closer to my family. I enjoy fly fishing and golf in the summer, skiing in the winter, and running and cooking year-round. We live in Edina where my wife keeps busy updating and landscaping our 1920s home, as well managing our 2 teenage children. I chose OB/GYN among the specialties because it was a unique mix of surgery and outpatient work. Pregnancy and childbirth are important transitions in a woman's life, and I find being part of that journey extremely rewarding.
