David Brown - MD

As an Ob/Gyn, Dr. Brown enjoys most all aspects of the practice. He has gone on to be specialized in the minimal invasive surgery using the daVinci Robot System. He teaches medical students and residents in medicine but also proctors other physicians who are in the training process. He is known for his surgical care and the personable approach to patients and family needs. Dr. Brown applies the Robotic Technology for optimal results in some of the most complex surgical cases. He does laparoscopic hysterectomies, myometomies and surgery for advanced pelvic pathology both with the robot and conventional methods. It is not unusual for him to receive patient feedback like the recent comment, “You have given me my life back. I feel healthy and so good.” Dr. Brown grew up in Roseville, and though he is not that old, says he remembers when Rosedale was just a field to play in. His parents were very family focused. When not raising a bunch of boys, his mother was organizing events for what would become the Cancer Society. His father was a baker and the son of a baker. Though he worked long and hard hours, he always did so with joy and gifted his children with an artistic flair and desire to never give up. Dr. Brown went to college at both the University of Minnesota and Bethel College. While taking a full load at Bethel he also was taking a full range of science courses at the University. He graduated from both earning a Magna Cum Laude status at Bethel and a Teaching degree and license from the University. He has a passion for teaching, previously in the school system, now with the University Medical School. He believes the finest teaching is what takes place between patients and physicians.
