Personal

I  grew up on the coast in Southern New Jersey.  I have always been a "Shore Boy". Home,now, is Blaine, Minnesota . I have over 22 years of practice in the Minneapolis Metro Area and have had  experience as a researcher in  Infectious Disease  and taught at the Hahnemann Medical School (now Drexel). I was  featured on a WCCO medical segment and in an article on medical issues in the Star Tribune.  I was the Chief Ob/Gyn at Unity Hospital and currently am an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Minnesota Department of Ob/Gyn. Before the switched to Fairview,  I  Headed the  Ob department at the Columbia Park Medical Group. Now I see  patients at the St. Louis Park office. I enjoy working in Women’s Health Care from adolescence to maturity. To me,  Women’s Health and Wellness is the Harmony of Mind, Body, and Spirit. One cannot get there with only tests and pills.  I recognize and appreciate this complexity of the human condition. Cooperation and communication serves me better in ministering to and caring for my patients. My focus is using the resources of Park Nicollet to help people and sustain the patient-doctor dynamic. My goal is to listen while providing care with comfort, compassion, and sound judgment.These are mutual decisions.  When not at Park Nicollet, I love  reading, swimming, pets, walking, gardening with my  wife,Ann,and biking. She  is a District 16 school nurse and we have been married for close to 26 years. We have 4 children, 2 dogs, and 2 cats that  inject energy  enthusiasm and some chaos into our home. As a family ,we have traveled to all 50 states, mostly by car. I  was previously involved as the Health and Wellness co-coordinator at Christ Lutheran Church, assisted as Assistant Scout Master in the Boy Scouts and coached in the Blaine Soccer club. Now, I actively volunteer for School District 16.
