My Areas of Practice

As a practicing therapist since 2012, I am excited to join the Park Nicollet Melrose Center as a part of their therapy team. My practice is built along patient-centered approaches and principles that allow the patient and family to help guide the therapeutic process to reach their goals for treatment. At Melrose Center, my practice will be with patients diagnosed with Eating Disorders, and includes sub-specialties in: Type 1 Diabetes (insulin restriction), Family Based Therapy, Avoidant/Restrictive disorders, Binge-Eating disorders, LGBTQ clients, and clients with other co-occurring mental health disorders. Prior to working at Park Nicollet, I was an outpatient therapist with the University of Minnesota focusing on the treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and psychosis. I have experience working with a wide range of client and their families, including couples, children, adolescents, and adults. I currently practice at the St. Louis Park location for Melrose Center.

I grew up in Becker, MN and moved to Machias, Maine to complete my undergraduate education. When I returned home to Minnesota for my graduate degree, I decided to make the Twin Cities my permanent home. I live in the cities with my family and dogs and enjoy spending my free time with them. I also enjoy using the local bike paths, skating with and supporting our local roller derby teams, kayaking, hiking, and traveling whenever possible. I am passionate about human rights and social justice issues that impact our local community.
