After growing up in Missouri, I went to school on both coasts before coming to Minnesota for my medicine residency. I practiced in the San Francisco Bay area, then returned with my Minnesota wife to raise our children here. Throughout my career I have taught medical students and residents as a clinical associate professor, first at Stanford University and then at the University of Minnesota. I enjoy caring for patients both in the clinic and hospital and seeing people from all stages and walks of life. I feel that a strong, long-lasting relationship with your doctor is essential for good medical care and though I enjoy complex medical problems, I would prefer to help my patients stay healthy.
