My Areas of Practice

I enjoy working with patients of all ages. I strive to help my patients identify their personal challenges with eating and activity. Once those challenges are identified, we develop strategies to manage them differently to encourage health and wellness.  I have specialized in Bariatric Surgery for the past 14 years.  I enjoy working with patients who are inquiring about surgery all the way through those who had surgery many years ago.  In addition, my general nutrition practice includes patients working on traditional weight management or heart disease or simply learning a healthier way to eat. I enjoy working with patients throughout the lifecycle.

I live in Shoreview with my husband and three teenagers.  Our house is a busy spot with sports and activities.  We enjoy spending time as a family cooking together.  Family dinners are a priority to us as a time to connect and enjoy each others company.  We also enjoy traveling together with Colorado being a favorite location where we visit my husband's kids and grandkids.  Our extended families take us to Duluth and Iowa regularly as well. I love to cook.  I enjoy trying new recipes and shopping for foods in local outlets and markets.  I walk and exercise most days as a way to grab some personal time or catch up with a friend. I manage the outpatient dietitians in our primary care clinics so my days in clinic are limited to twice a week.  You may have met me in the past when my last name was Deno.
