My Areas of Practice
I enjoy working closely with the medical staff at Park Nicollet to provide diagnostic and rehabilitative services to patients of all ages who are experiencing problems with their hearing.  I specialize in  working with people to help them restore communication abilities with a variety of amplification technologies.  I have experience in hearing aid research and design with 2 major manufacturers and bring this experience to every patient that I see who is looking for the best solution for their hearing problems.  Loud noise exposure is a leading cause of hearing loss that is preventable.  I strongly believe that educating children about their ears, hearing, and dangers associated with noise exposure is a gift that I can offer through my volunteer work at local elementary schools.  I also serve on the editorial review board of Audiology Online, a major source of audiology education for professionals.

Personal

I grew up in Colorado and attended The University of Utah and love to ski, hike, garden, bike, run, and generally be outdoors.  I moved to Minnesota to work in research and development and met my husband of 15 years here.  We have 2 children who have stretched us to experience new activities on a regular basis.  I recently learned to play chess, tap dance and even ran a half marathon!  We love camping in Minnesota, and in my spare time I read and volunteer with church and with my children's activities.
