My Areas of Practice

I have worked in Family Medicine at our Park Nicollet Eagan office for 20 years. In January 2016, I transitioned to a new Park Nicollet Clinic called "SmartCare" located in St. Louis Park.  At SmartCare,  we offer traditional face-to-face care that you have come to know with the addition of more  convenient options.  These options include:  scheduled telephone visits, scheduled video visits, and MyChart evisits.   I believe that patients deserve high quality care that is convenient.   I can manage your same day acute care needs (bladder infections, sinus infections, and bronchitis), as well as work with you to manage your chronic diseases (diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol).   At SmartCare, many of these services can be handled in non-traditional visits over the phone, on the computer, or by a video visit.  If you need to have a wart treated or a mole removed, I do that too, but I need to see you at SmartCare for this service.

A have a particular interest in working with patients with depression and anxiety.   Mental health and physical health are intertwined, if we manage both, you will have a better overall sense of well-being.   It brings me joy to see patients overcome depression and anxiety and live fuller and happier lives.

My style of practice is one of mutual respect, thoroughness, and a team approach    I am passionate about making sure that all of your care needs are met at every visit.   Resolving concerns in a single visits by the right care team member is rewarding for patients as well as the care team. Time is of the essence for all of us.  If you are scheduled for a rash, and we identify that you are in need of preventive services, or refills on medications, we will take care of it at your appointment.   When I am not in the clinic, our SmartCare team made up of medical doctors, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and registered nurses will make sure that your concerns and questions are resolved in a timely fashion.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time at home with my family.  My husband and I own a pet boarding facility in Prior Lake called "Paws and Pals".  We have two daughters that keep us busy.  We have two dogs and a cat.   When time allows, I love to garden, read, and take exercise classes at the YMCA.   Our favorite place to vacation is Marco Island, Florida and Walker, Minnesota.  My family and I are members of St. James Lutheran Church in Burnsville.  I like to volunteer in my daughter's classroom and at our church as a way to give back to the community.
