My Areas of Practice
I welcome patients to my practice who are seeking care for a wide variety of eye problems. My primary area of specialty is cataract surgery, including the use of toric intraocular lenses (correcting for astigmatism), and multifocal intraocular lenses (correcting for both distance and reading vision). I also enjoy seeing patients for refractive surgery consultation (LASIK or PRK surgery), glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and eyelid problems. I have always valued the excellent teachers that got me to where I am today, therefore I strive to be an excellent teacher to each patient I see and explain their eye problems in terms they can understand.

I was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, and I am proud to continue to serve the eye care needs of my hometown community. When not at Park Nicollet, I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, as well as my two brothers and my parents who live in the area. I have a variety of hobbies that help to keep me balanced, including playing drums, golf, tennis, skiing, and running. I also have been honored to serve as a "big brother" to a young man through the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities program for the last 8+ years, which has been an incredibly rewarding experience.
