My Areas of Practice

I am a board certified internist and geriatrician who sees patients 18 years of age and older for primary care services, and am currently accepting new patients. Whether helping to maintain wellness, prevent illness or manage chronic disease, I enjoy working with patients throughout all stages of adulthood. I strive to provide LGBTQ sensitive care for all ages, and am interested in being part of the care team for older and younger LGBTQ individuals, including Truvada PrEP when appropriate.

Please note that Dr Hamp provides primary care services for transgender and gender non-conforming individuals but at this time does not prescribe or monitor hormones.

Personal

I grew up in northern Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Superior, completed my undergraduate studies at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota, and attended the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. After earning my M.D., I returned to the Twin Cities to complete an internal medicine residency and geriatric medicine fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center. In my free time, I enjoy biking around the city, reading in coffee shops, and attending movies, concerts and arts events in the city.
