My Areas of Practice
I have experience providing psychotherapy in both outpatient and inpatient settings. I enjoy helping people discover their own solutions to their problems, while providing support and guidance where needed. I work with ages 18-65, and have helped with a variety of mental health issues. Special interests include anxiety disorders, depressive disorders and interpersonal issues. I also enjoy providing patients with behavior modification support related to nutrition and fitness. I use a variety of approaches, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness. These therapies focus on changing unrealistic thinking patterns and destructive behaviors, gaining coping skills for dealing with stress and using the concept "acceptance of what is" to reduce emotional suffering.
